smART Project

The Wy Art Foundation in Collaboration with the Bronx Museum, New York hosted the Hilary Clinton Smartpower project in Nigeria. A Community based artist, Brett Cook from Berkeley California conducted a series of multi faceted workshops that included the making of artifacts, celebration and public art displays. Members of the University community drawn from the Department of Creative Arts and the Yaba community worked with the artist over a six- week period. At the end of these series of workshops an iconic mural emerged which has now become the hall mark of the University of Lagos featuring on the university website. Artist Brett Cook also worked with secondary school students at the All Saints college, Ibadan. The Women and Youth Art Foundation is proud of US Department of State support for this project
